Process
Entrants will follow these steps to register:

Select an Entry Method - ONLINE (credit card only) or SNAIL MAIL

Fill in the online or printed registration form supplying boat and personal information

Provide payment details and submit as instructed
NOTE: Cheques will be cashed immediately whereas credit card payments will be processed at a later date -
Send all required documents as per NOR - current PHRF certificate (NW or BC) and Insurance (liability) - by email attachments (preferred) or snail mail
NOTE: All documents MUST be received by Friday August 10, 2012
RIPS Organizing Authority will email entrants to:

Acknowledge an entry has been received and posted on the COMPETITORS LIST

Confirm when all NOR requirements have been satisfied

Advise when credit card (cc) processing will occur at a later date requesting a) confirmation to proceed or b) new cc details

Advise PHRF-BC rated boats of a temporary RIPS PHRF-NW rating

entry methods
Two methods to enter RIPS are offered:

ONLINE - only offers payment by credit card (faster, secure and preferred)

SNAIL MAIL. - requires the registrant to print, fill, sign and send the registration form. Include either a cheque (payable to RIPS Yachting Ltd) or provide credit card details (on the form or by telephone).
fees
Fees are based upon a fixed rate X boat length, as per this schedule:

BONUS - $15/foot before February 16, 2012

STANDARD - $17/foot from February 16, 2012 to closure
Fees include regatta entry, moorage at Port Browning Marina from Friday August 10th through Wednesday August 15th (rafting may be necessary), camping (first-come, first-serve) as well as all shore-side activities for crew and skipper. Refer to the NOR for official details.
PHrf requirements
In order to race in a PHRF division at RIPS, current PHRF-NW or PHRF-BC certificates are required. Those with PHRF-BC certificates will be assigned a temporary PHRF-NW rating (for RIPS only) which may result in an adjustment to the PHRF-BC value. This temporary rating, given by the RIPS Handicapper (free of charge), conforms to PHRF-NW rules and standards. Contact the RIPS Handicapper, CHARLES TOLMAN, for further details.
motherships (ACCOMMODATION VESSELS)
Motherships may moor at Port Browning Marina from Friday through Wednesday for a standard fee if space is available. When the reservation system is open, complete the MOTHERSHIP RESERVATION form on the ACCOMMODATION webpage.
personal & IMAGE information
Details including name and address, payment details plus boat info will be required to register, along with a determination as to whether racing One Design or PHRF. All personal information collected will remain confidential.
